Sha Kam Shukam Datsi, Dried beef with dried gold brown chillies and cheese

Here is the recipe of my favourite dish, the famous " Shakam Shukam Datsi". The most sought after dish among the locals, i would say.
Ema Shukam (blanched and sun dried gold brown chillies) itself is a speciality and when cooked together with Sha-kam (dried beef) and cheese, creates a finger licking- mouth watering delicacy :).

Ingredients;

50 gr. Dried Beef (Shakam)
10 Chillies (Shukam)
1-2 stalks of spring onions/ equivalent amt of leek
1 Tbsp Oil
50-100 gr. Feta Cheese
200 + 100 ml Water
Salt to taste

Preparation:
1. Chop the dried beef into small pieces. Rinse the chillies and leeks. Break the chillies into small pieces with your hand and cut the leeks into long strips.

2. Rinse the chopped beef well and transfer into a pot. Add 200 ml water, oil and salt  to it. Cover and cook for 15 minutes on a low medium heat.

3. Once the beef is cooked, add 100 ml water, chillies, leeks and cheese. Cover and cook further for 5 minutes.

4. Lower the flame to the minimum, Stir gently to blend the cheese well. Serve with rice.
