Cauliflower meets Soya Cream, Blumenkohl trifft Sojasahne (VEGAN)
There is a giant Cauliflower (Meto Kopi) in my laboratory. Looks like i need to cook them in batches :).
Here is my first batch of Cauliflower dish, cooked the bhutanese style, replacing Cheese with Soja cream. Who would have thought of this combo and that it would work :P.
My personal favourite back home in Bhutan is Cauliflower cooked with small chunks of dried beef. Cauliflower is more popular at homes than in restaurants in bhutan (if i am not wrong).
Ingredients:
570 gr. florets of Cauliflower (to be exact)
400 ml Water
2 Tbsp Oil
1 or more Chillies (any kind)
1 Tomato
1 Onion
4-5 Tbsp Soya Cream (Alpro)
Salt
1. Wash/ rinse the cauliflower florets and transfer to a pot. Add water, oil and salt. Cover and cook for 8 minutes.
2. rinse and the tomato and onion into slices and the chilli into half, lengthwise.
3. Stir gently, add the tomato, onions and chilli. Cover and cook until the cauliflower is tender, 3-5 minutes.
4. Lower the flame to minimum, add soya cream and stir gently and turn off the flame.
5. Serve with rice.
